Families start with people who align themselves by blood - or what we might now might refer to as genetic - relationships, along with household relationships and alliances made with other "families", and form ourselves into networks of "kin." Moreover people and their families organize themselves into larger networks or clusters, which include friends, associates, and neighbors. These comprise the FAN club as it has been referred to by the esteemed genealogist and historian, Elizabeth Shown Mills.
The following section includes links to pages devoted to specific families and FAN networks that I know a little more about and where I hope to share a little more of that information to put the individual lives into context. Each of these pages then includes some links to the person pages for specific ancestors as well.
